Try not to be jealous. Are you trying? I'll only tell you if I know it won't cause intense jealousy - OK I feel safe in revealing that I met STEPHENIE MEYER!!!! Now by met I mean stood a few inches from her and froze like a statue with a goofy grin on my face and possibly some drooling. She spoke to me and the best I could do was nod and resemble the mentally handicapped.

Amanda and Katie got a bit star struck as well!But aside from my embarrassing display it was great. She answered questions about Twilight, The Host, future books, and advice for future writers.
Afterwards we went to dinner- we were starving!! We went to a place called Z'Tejas and the menu looked nasty - Chicken with raisins, weird spices and it was PRICEY! What do three housewives do in that situation...take one more swig of their lemon water and RUN! That's right we ran from the restaurant...straight to TGI Friday's. Thank you - I'll take a turkey burger over a Raisin Goulash any day of the week.
There it is - The picture you've all been waiting for. You can't see it but she inscribed a special note to me on the adjoining page. It's so long I'll have to paraphrase it...she loves my style, thinks I have a future as a author or super model(which ever comes first) says I smell as irresistible as Bella, hopes that we can be Best Friends Forever, practically begged me to come on her book tour, loves my smile and doesn't think it looks goofy at all, gave me her phone number-address-and email and would love to stay in touch, and asked if she could use me as the inspiration for her next book. Wow - she's such a nice gal!

Confession: I have never read the Twilight Series, (you know, the whole vampire thing kinda freaked me out.) However....
Our book club is reading her fourth book in August (when it comes out) and it looks like I have to read the whole dang series.
Secretly, I've been suppressing the desire to read the books and I really am jealous (deep down)of you getting to meet Stephenie. Did she seem, well uh, normal? I guess what I mean by that comment is: Was she Goth?

Do you remember me? I met you a couple of Sunday's ago :) I just wanted to say I am so jealous! I loved the Twilight series. I did not know she came out with a new book until my friend Jen recently told me. I will have to get it.
