We Finally finished painting the boys room. We did stripes, something I've always wanted to do but too chicken to try, and I really like them. They were a LOT of work but the end result was worth it. I bought bulletin boards for each of the boys, I still need to sew their throw pillows to match the new color scheme, paint the dresser and paint and hang their wooden name letters(wow - I didn't realize until I typed all that how much work I have left!!) ...when we get the room all finished I will post some more photos. Ethan really wants a big world map for his room. Anyone know of a cheap and cute world map?

What a cute room. My boys and Monroe's room desperately need to be re-done. This has gotten me a little more excited to work on it. Plus they have their own ideas of what they want. Just wait until they start having opinions of their clothes, their hair, room, etc. Your ideas go out the door!

On a separate note: Regarding Kindergarten, it's not so bad. It seems bad when you don't know what to expect but it goes much smoother when the time comes. I talked about school every day leading up to it. When Euan was scared I reassured him that it was going to be OK, that I would be there if he wanted in the beginning (most teachers will let you stay as long as you like the first few days). I took him to pick out the things that he would need for school including a back pack. They don't really need one at this age but it is fun for them to do. The picture idea that one of your friends suggested was great. He could even tape it to the top of his desk so he could see it all the time. Meet the teacher together look at all the rooms (lunchroom, bathroom, office, etc.) Show him where the busses go and just be super happy (overly happy) when you talk to him about it, even if he cries just be totally positive. I find that when I know my kids will be scared of something, if I talk about it long enough before the fact, they aren't so scared when the time comes around. Good luck!

looks great! Even better in person. Oh, and they sometimes have those cheap big maps at teacher supply stores for classrooms. I don't actually know where a teacher supply store is though...

Everytime I get on your blog and go to leave a comment I realize that everyone else has already said what I was going to say...like when you made your amazing Danish Braid I was going to tell you that my mouth was watering just looking at it and that you are such an amazing chef, but then I didn't write anything because I couldn't think of something creative. So this is the same way "It looks awesome...you are such a great mom...your boys are so lucky!!" But I am writing it anyway!!!! Hope you guys are doing great!!!
